Major events close roads. Stadium districts, festival sites and city-centre parades all run traffic plans that put coach set-down on a ring some distance from the gate, with the last stretch walked. That is normal and it is planned for, not a surprise on the day.

The practical consequences are worth knowing in advance: allow walking time in the schedule, agree a precise collection point rather than "outside the venue", and expect the return to be slower than the arrival because everyone leaves simultaneously.
