Festival and Concert Coach Hire in The Hague

The Hague hosts the Netherlands' largest free outdoor music festival and several notable cultural events. Parkpop, held annually in the Zuiderpark (3 kilometres south of the city centre) at the end of June, is one of Europe's longest-running free festivals, drawing up to 150,000 visitors over a single day with multiple stages covering pop, rock, and urban music.

Crossing Border is a more intimate annual literature and music festival in November at the Amare cultural centre (opened 2021, on the Spui adjacent to the Stadhuis). The Zuiderparktheater in the Zuiderpark and the historic venues of the Circustheater in Scheveningen are used for theatre, circus, and larger-scale touring productions.

Parkpop Zuiderpark Festival Transport

Parkpop is held at the end of June in the Zuiderpark, a large public park 3 kilometres south-east of the city centre. The park is accessible by coach via the Rijswijkseweg and Lozerlaan approach roads. For festival groups, coaches typically pick up at city hotels and drop at the designated festival coach zone on the Zuiderpark perimeter (Lozerlaan). Post-festival pickups are staggered: we advise booking a 22:30, 00:00, or 01:30 slot depending on the group's plan. The Parkpop site is fully outdoors, so wet-weather contingency for late-night return is standard. We can also cover transfers from Rotterdam (25km south, 25 minutes) and Amsterdam (60km north, 50 minutes) for groups staying outside The Hague for the festival weekend.

Amare, Crossing Border, and Indoor Concert Venues

The Amare cultural centre on the Spui (opened 2021) is The Hague's principal new performing arts venue, integrating the Netherlands Dance Theatre, the Residentie Orkest concert hall, and a multiplex cinema. Coach drop-off for the Amare is directly on the Spui, with good vehicle access from the Schedeldoekshaven approach. Crossing Border festival (November) takes over the Amare and surrounding venues for a 3-day programme of music and literature. The Dr. Anton Philipszaal (classical concerts) is within the Amare complex. Group tickets for orchestral seasons or dance programme evenings pair well with a coach transfer package.

Circustheater Scheveningen and Outdoor Summer Events

The Circustheater in Scheveningen (1km from the beach, on Circusstraat) is a landmark 1930s theatre and one of the main venues for Dutch touring productions and West End musicals (Mamma Mia, Grease, and large-scale touring shows have featured here). Its location in Scheveningen makes it convenient to combine with a pre-show dinner on the beach boulevard. The Zuiderparktheater in the Zuiderpark runs outdoor summer performances from May to September. Coach access to Scheveningen for the Circustheater is via the coastal approach road; drop-off is on the Circusstraat or the Gevers Deynootweg.
