Brussels is one of Europe's most underrated stag and hen destinations. The combination of genuinely excellent beer (more than 2,000 Belgian varieties, with Cantillon brewery, Moeder Lambic, and Delirium Tremens bar all within walking distance of the Grand Place), a compact historic centre, and a surprisingly lively bar and club scene makes it a strong alternative to the more obvious party cities.
A minibus or small coach keeps your group together, eliminates the taxi-splitting arguments, and makes the hop between the Sablon antiques quarter, the Matonge Afro-Belgian neighbourhood, and the Ixelles nightclub strip far more manageable. Drivers are vetted, sober, and know the city's late-night road restrictions.
The Ilot Sacre ('Sacred Island') neighbourhood behind the Grand Place is Brussels' most concentrated bar district. Rue des Bouchers, Rue du Marche aux Fromages, and the lanes around Place Sainte-Catherine offer Belgian specialist beer cafes, mojito bars, and late-night spots. A minibus can drop and collect from the Boulevard de l'Imperatrice throughout the evening.
The organised Brussels beer circuit runs from Cantillon Gueuze Brewery (Anderlecht, lambic speciality) to Moeder Lambic (Place Fontainas, 300 Belgian labels on draft), Delirium Tremens bar (near Bourse, holds the Guinness record for most beer varieties on offer), and the Celtica bar at Grand Place.
