Dublin is Ireland's premier stag and hen party city, drawing groups from across Ireland and the UK for long-weekend celebrations. The city's compact entertainment geography -- Temple Bar, Grafton Street, and the surrounding pub and club quarter within 1 kilometre of each other -- means that most of a Dublin stag or hen weekend can be covered on foot within the city centre. Where a minibus or coach comes into its own is for off-site activities: day trips to the Curragh racecourse, Mondello Park for track days, Carton House for golf, or Kildare Village for shopping.
For groups arriving from outside Dublin, we also cover meet-and-greet at Dublin Airport, hotel pick-up to the entertainment area, and a late-night return at the end of the evening. A sober, reliable driver for the late return is one of the most valued services we provide for stag and hen groups.
Temple Bar, Grafton Street, and the Night Quarter
Temple Bar (the cobbled streets between the Liffey quays and Dame Street, centred on Temple Bar Square) is Dublin's main tourism and nightlife quarter, with an unusually high concentration of pubs, bars, and live music venues in a small area. The most-visited venues are the Temple Bar pub (named after the street), the Oliver St John Gogarty (with traditional Irish sessions), and the Porterhouse Brewing Company. Coaches cannot drive through the Temple Bar cobbles but can drop off and pick up on the quays (Aston Quay or Wellington Quay) at the northern edge of the quarter. The Grafton Street pedestrian zone (400 metres south of Temple Bar via South Great George's Street) and the Drury Street and South William Street bars are the main alternatives.
The Curragh Racecourse and Irish Horse Racing
The Curragh (50 kilometres south-west of Dublin via the M7 and the Curragh plain, approximately 45 to 50 minutes by coach) is the home of Irish flat racing and the venue for all five Irish Classic races: the 2,000 Guineas, 1,000 Guineas, Oaks, Derby, and St Leger. The Curragh season runs from late March to October; the five Classics are held between May and September. The Aga Khan Trophy meeting in late July (formerly the QEII Challenge Cup) is the biggest international week. Coach parking is at the Curragh dedicated coach enclosure. Punchestown Racecourse (45 kilometres south-west via the M7 and the Naas bypass) and Leopardstown (15 kilometres south via the M50) are the other main Dublin-area venues.
Mondello Park and Kildare Activities
Mondello Park (Donore, County Kildare, 50 kilometres south-west of Dublin via the M7 and the Kildare bypass, approximately 50 minutes) is Ireland's only FIA-grade motor racing circuit, used for Formula racing, MotoGP events, and track experience days year-round. Experience days for groups (Ferrari experience, supercar laps, rally cross) are available by advance booking; corporate and stag packages include exclusive track time. Kildare Village (opposite Mondello, 1 kilometre from the circuit) is a designer outlet shopping village with 120 boutiques; it is a standard add-on for groups combining shopping with the track. Carton House (Maynooth, 30 kilometres west via the M7 and the R148, approximately 35 minutes) is a 5-star hotel with two championship golf courses.
