Lisbon has one of the densest festival calendars in Europe for its size. NOS Alive, held in July at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés (7 kilometres west of the city centre along the Tagus riverside), is consistently rated among Europe's top ten music festivals and draws 30,000+ per day for its three-day run. Rock in Rio Lisboa, held in even-numbered years at the Parque da Bela Vista in northern Lisbon, draws 75,000+ per day and features the largest stage in Portugal. Both require careful coach planning: NOS Alive sits on a riverside site with limited parking, and Rock in Rio Lisboa's Parque da Bela Vista has a controlled coach access system.
Year-round concerts at the Altice Arena (formerly MEO Arena, 20,000 capacity) in Parque das Nações and the Coliseu dos Recreios (3,600 capacity, a Victorian circus-style indoor venue near the Baixa) provide regular group transport needs throughout the year.
NOS Alive takes place at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés on the Tagus riverside, 7 kilometres west of the Baixa via the N6 coastal road (approximately 20 minutes by coach). The festival site is compact: three main stages and a smaller acoustic stage alongside the river, walkable in 10 minutes across. Coaches arrive via the Estrada de Algés and drop off on the Rua de Algés approach, with walking distance of about 300 metres to the main entrance. The site is served by the Comboios de Portugal train line to Algés station, which provides an alternative late-night return for groups after the headliner. We co-ordinate coach drops at opening time and pickups after the headline act, with a designated meeting point given to each group on booking.
Rock in Rio Lisboa at the Parque da Bela Vista in northern Lisbon (12 kilometres from the Baixa via the Segunda Circular, approximately 25 minutes) is held in even-numbered years. The festival has a capacity of 75,000+ per day and features two main stages (Palco Mundo and Palco Sunset) alongside a dedicated urban music stage and the Cidade do Rock entertainment village. The Parque da Bela Vista has designated coach drop-off zones on the Avenida Roma approach. Public transport (Metro Entrecampos line) provides the post-headline alternative. We manage timed drops and late-night pickups coordinated with the headliner finish time.
The Altice Arena (formerly Pavilhão Atlântico, capacity 20,000) in Parque das Nações is Lisbon's main indoor venue and hosts touring acts from October to May. The arena is 8 kilometres north-east of the Baixa (20 to 25 minutes by coach via the Segunda Circular) and has dedicated coach drop-off on the Avenida Dom João II alongside the venue entrance. The Coliseu dos Recreios at the Rua das Portas de Santo Antão (central Baixa, 100 metres from the Restauradores Metro) is Portugal's most historic indoor concert hall (3,600 capacity) and is used for classical, fado, and intimate touring shows. For Coliseu events, coaches drop on the Avenida da Liberdade or the Rua das Portas de Santo Antão and guests walk 50 metres.
