Festival and Concert Coach in Prague

Prague's concert and festival landscape ranges from the intimate to the metropolitan. The O2 Arena in Vysocany (17,360 capacity) is the largest indoor arena in the Czech Republic and a regular stop on major European tours. The Prague Spring International Music Festival (May to June, using venues including the Rudolfinum and the Municipal House) is one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in Central Europe. The Palac Akropolis (Kubelikova 27, Zizkov, capacity 1,100) and the Roxy (Dlouha 33, Old Town, capacity 700) are the flagship Prague club venues for indie, electronic, and alternative touring acts.

For Czech's largest outdoor music festivals -- Rock for People (Hradec Kralove, 100 km east) and Colours of Ostrava (Ostrava, 310 km east) -- Prague is the primary departure city. Getting a group safely to a festival site without relying on limited public transport or festival buses is the standard reason groups book a dedicated coach.

O2 Arena and O2 Universum: The Arena Circuit

O2 Arena (Ocelarska 2, Prague 9 - Vysocany, 5 kilometres north-east of the Old Town) with its 17,360 capacity is the primary Prague venue for major European touring acts: Metallica, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Depeche Mode, and similar artists regularly play here. It is also the home arena of HC Sparta Praha (ice hockey). The adjacent O2 Universum (capacity 5,000, in the same complex) is used for mid-size events and smaller touring productions. Coach drop-off for both venues is in the coach bay on Ocelarska; coaches hold on the side streets of Ceskomoravska during the event. The O2 Arena is accessible from PRG by coach via the D7 and the Prague ring road in approximately 25 minutes.

Prague Spring Festival and Classical Venues

The Prague Spring International Music Festival (Prazske jaro, held from 12 May to 3 June annually) opens on the anniversary of the death of Bedrich Smetana with a performance of Ma vlast at the Smetana Hall in Obecni Dum (Municipal House, Namesti Republiky). Other main venues include the Rudolfinum (Alseovo nabrezi 12, the home of the Czech Philharmonic, 1,100 seats in the Dvorak Hall), St Vitus Cathedral in Prague Castle (used for choral and orchestral performances), and the Estates Theatre (Ovocny trh 1, the theatre where Don Giovanni premiered under Mozart in 1787). Group bookings for Prague Spring are booked months in advance; we provide transport from any Prague hotel to any festival venue.

Festival Day Trips: Rock for People and Colours of Ostrava

Rock for People (Letiste Hradec Kralove, Hradec Kralove, 100 kilometres east of Prague via the D11, approximately 1 hour) is the Czech Republic's largest rock and alternative festival (capacity 25,000 per day), held in late June. It has hosted Arctic Monkeys, Rammstein, Lorde, and other major European touring acts. Colours of Ostrava (Dolni Vitkovice, Ostrava, 310 kilometres east via the D1, approximately 3 hours) is the most eclectic and culturally distinctive Czech festival (capacity 40,000), held in mid-July in the repurposed Vitkovice steelworks -- a UNESCO industrial monument. Both are achievable as a return coach journey from Prague with an early departure.
