A half-day vineyard visit and a lunch in the hills works well as a hen daytime programme before an evening in Lyon. Lyon's bouchons typically serve from 7pm to 10pm; a group dinner in Vieux-Lyon followed by a minibus transfer across the Saone to Presqu'ile bars is a classic Lyon evening structure. Bouchons to book in advance include those on the Rue du Boeuf and Rue Saint-Jean in Vieux-Lyon: most take groups of up to 15 to 20 covers for bookings made 3 to 4 weeks ahead. After dinner, the Rue Merciere on the Presqu'ile and the Place des Terreaux bars provide an easy bar circuit. The Confluence district clubs are a 15-minute minibus ride from the Presqu'ile for groups who want to extend the night.
