ADO Den Haag is The Hague's principal professional football club, competing in the Dutch Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie. The club plays at the Bingoal Stadion (formerly Cars Jeans Stadion) at Zuiderpark, capacity 15,000, in the south of the city. The stadium is located in the Zuiderpark area, 3 kilometres south-east of the city centre, and is used both for football and for other sporting events and concerts.
Beyond football, The Hague has a notable beach sports scene at Scheveningen, including beach volleyball, beach football, and seafront athletics. The Uithof ice rink in the east of the city is a major ice sports venue hosting ice hockey and speed skating. The city also has several indoor sports halls used for handball, volleyball, and basketball.
The Bingoal Stadion is in the Zuiderpark, 3 kilometres south-east of the Binnenhof. Coach access is via the Lozerlaan and the Zuiderpark perimeter road. On matchdays, the access road is managed with police supervision; coaches drop supporters on the Zuiderpark approach and collect post-match at an agreed point on the Lozerlaan. For away supporter groups, we provide transport with police liaison coordination for Category C (high-risk) fixtures. The Zuiderpark location, shared with the Parkpop festival site, means that on combined event weekends the approach roads can be busy.
Scheveningen beach hosts international beach volleyball tournaments (the Hague Open Beach Volleyball has been part of the FIVB World Tour) as well as recreational beach sports events and the annual Scheveningen swim across the North Sea. Coach access to Scheveningen beach for sports events is via the Kustroute and the Strandweg boulevard. The beach has temporary grandstand facilities for competition events. The Pier and beachfront area also host running events and triathlons with beach stages.
The Uithof at Jaap Edenweg is The Hague's main ice sports complex, 4 kilometres east of the city centre. It hosts the HYS Den Haag ice hockey team and occasional speed skating events. Coach access is via the Dekkershoekweg and Jaap Edenweg approach road. For volleyball, handball, and indoor events, the Sporthallen Zuid at Zuiderpark and the TopsportCentrum in Rijswijk (5 kilometres south-east) are the principal indoor venues. We provide transport for club and national team training squads as well as for supporters and spectators.
