1. Who We Are
Global Bus Hire ("we", "us", "our") is a group transport booking service connecting customers with local bus, coach, and minibus operators worldwide. Our registered trading address is available on request via our contact page.
2. What Data We Collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect:
- Name, email address, and telephone number
- Pickup and destination locations
- Travel date and passenger count
- Any additional details you provide in a message
Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs (such as IP address, page requested and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. We do not run analytics or advertising tracking on this site.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To prepare and send you a quote for group transport
- To communicate about your booking or enquiry
- To share necessary details with the relevant local operator to fulfil your booking
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing without your consent.
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process your data under two legal bases:
- Contract performance, processing your quote request and fulfilling your booking
- Legitimate interests, improving our service and preventing fraud
5. Data Retention
Quote enquiries that do not result in a booking are deleted after 12 months. Booking records are retained for 6 years for accounting and legal compliance. You can request deletion of your data at any time via our contact page.
6. Third-Party Operators
To fulfil your booking, we share your travel details (name, phone, route, date) with the local operator responsible for your journey. These operators are contractually bound to process your data only for the purpose of providing the transport service.
7. Enquiry Form Provider and International Transfers
Enquiries submitted through the forms on this site are delivered to us by email through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form-delivery provider, while it is in use. Your enquiry details pass through FormSubmit's servers, which are located in the United States, so submitting the form involves an international transfer of your data outside the UK and EEA. If you would rather not use the form, you can contact us by telephone on +44 20 3966 7387.
8. Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies required for the site to function (session handling, form security tokens). No advertising or tracking cookies are set. No cookie consent banner is required under this configuration.
9. Your Rights
Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form or call +44 20 3966 7387. We will respond within 30 days.
