The Hague is served by two airports: Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM, 15 kilometres north-east via the A12 and A20) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS, 65 kilometres north via the A4). RTM is a compact regional airport handling mainly domestic (Amsterdam, Eindhoven) and a small selection of European routes from KLM CityHopper, Transavia, and Ryanair. Schiphol is the main international gateway for The Hague, accessible by road via the A4 motorway.
For groups arriving at either airport for the World Forum conference centre, the International Court of Justice, or the Peace Palace, a hired coach is considerably more convenient than the NS train and tram combination, particularly for groups carrying luggage or presentation materials.
Rotterdam The Hague Airport is 15 kilometres north-east via the A12 and N211. Journey time to The Hague city centre (Centraal Station area) is approximately 20 to 25 minutes. The terminal is compact with a single arrivals hall; drivers meet groups with a name board at the terminal exit. For groups heading directly to the World Forum conference centre (7 kilometres south of The Hague Centraal, near Madurodam), the RTM to World Forum journey is approximately 25 to 30 minutes via the A12 and N14.
Schiphol is 65 kilometres north via the A4 motorway. Journey time to The Hague is approximately 50 to 65 minutes depending on traffic on the Amsterdam orbital. Schiphol serves all major long-haul destinations and is the practical choice for intercontinental groups. For conference groups arriving at Schiphol for the World Forum or the Peace Palace, the direct road transfer by coach is often preferred over the train (which requires a change at The Hague Centraal and can be difficult with luggage). The airport transfer from Schiphol to The Hague can be combined with stops in Leiden (15 minutes from Schiphol) for delegations with a side programme.
From either airport, transfers to the Scheveningen beach resort and hotel area (5 kilometres west of The Hague Centraal) add approximately 10 minutes to the city centre transfer time. Scheveningen is a popular destination for conference add-on days and beach dining. From RTM, the Scheveningen transfer takes approximately 30 to 35 minutes via the A12, the N211, and the coastal approach road. From AMS, the transfer is approximately 65 to 75 minutes. We can coordinate multi-stop transfers -- airport to hotel to conference venue -- within a single booking.
