These venues are accessed by coach to the estate entrance; the final approach to many Douro quintas requires a narrow road descent to the river terrace, so 35-seat midi-coaches are preferred over full-size vehicles.
The Minho region north of Porto (the Vinho Verde wine country) has a concentration of solar manor estates used for weddings, located 30 to 60 kilometres north via the A3 and A11 motorways.
