Bus & Coach Hire in Serbia

Serbia occupies the geographical heart of the Balkans and its coach hire market reflects the country's dual identity as both a rising tourism destination and a regional logistics hub. Belgrade, the capital, is one of Europe's fastest-growing city-break destinations, fuelled by a vibrant nightlife scene and a growing roster of international events. The EXIT Festival in Novi Sad -- held at the 17th-century Petrovaradin Fortress -- is the largest music festival in Southeast Europe and generates significant group transport demand every July. Zlatibor and Kopaonik mountains attract domestic and regional ski groups in winter.

Serbia is not yet an EU member but is a candidate country. Serbian operators hold ECMT international licences and operate cross-border routes into Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) handles all major international arrivals. The country uses the Serbian Dinar (RSD). A new highway network is progressively linking Belgrade to its neighbours, significantly reducing journey times on key Balkan routes.

common questions

Bus Hire in Serbia: Common Questions

Serbia is not yet an EU member, so Serbian coaches require ECMT licences or bilateral agreements to enter EU countries such as Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia. This is a routine process for experienced Serbian operators and does not cause significant delays.

Yes. Belgrade is at the centre of the Balkan road network and an ideal hub for tours covering Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. Most Western Balkan capitals are within a day's drive, and Belgrade operators are experienced with these routes.

EXIT Festival takes place at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad in early July. Book group transport 10 to 12 weeks ahead. Festival shuttle coaches from Belgrade hotels to Novi Sad are available but fill quickly once the festival line-up is announced.

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is located 18 km west of the city centre and handles all major international routes into Serbia. It has coach parking and a dedicated group arrivals area for meet-and-greet service.
