EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL) is about 6 km from the city and is unusual in Europe: it sits on French soil but is run jointly by France and Switzerland, with separate Swiss and French exits from the same terminal. Groups must leave through the correct side, since the Swiss exit leads directly toward Basel while the French side does not.
