Manila's Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) is the main gateway and its traffic is the country's defining logistics fact: crossing Metro Manila can take longer than a domestic flight, so drivers build big buffers and groups schedule around the peaks. Cebu (CEB) anchors the Visayas and is often the smoother arrival for beach-led itineraries; Clark (CRK), north of Manila, serves Luzon's north. For every airport meet the operator stages early, because kerb time at NAIA is tightly managed.
The island connections
The famous beach destinations are combination journeys. Boracay is reached via Caticlan: a flight or a coach leg, then the short boat hop, with luggage handled at the jetty. El Nido and the Palawan lagoons run from Puerto Princesa by van along a winding five-to-six-hour road, or by direct flight into El Nido's small strip. Bohol's Chocolate Hills pair with Cebu by fast ferry. On each island the local charter takes over, and a coordinated handoff at every jetty and airstrip is what we actually sell.
Season and safety notes
Typhoon season runs roughly June to November: ferries stop and flights shift when storms pass, so itineraries in those months carry a buffer day and flexible ground bookings, which local operators here are practised at re-timing. The FCDO advises against travel to parts of western and central Mindanao; standard tourist circuits, Luzon, the Visayas, Palawan and Siargao, sit outside those areas, and we do not arrange transport into them. A minibus with driver is the workhorse vehicle nationwide.
